KKR Launches "Alternatives Unlocked" Platform to Enhance Access to Investment Opportunities

KKR, a prominent global investment firm, has introduced "KKR Alternatives Unlocked," a digital platform aimed at empowering financial advisors and clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of alternative investments. The platform provides a diverse range of content, including macroeconomic insights, investment perspectives, and educational materials covering private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and credit asset classes.

Despite 81% of financial professionals acknowledging that offering opportunities in alternative investments is a competitive advantage, only 1.4% of the estimated $192 trillion in the global wealth sector was allocated to alternative asset classes in 2022. Challenges such as perceived inaccessibility and complexity of the asset class hinder broader adoption by financial advisors.

Eric Mogelof, Partner and Global Head of Global Client Solutions at KKR, emphasized the platform's role in bridging the knowledge gap around the alternatives landscape. "Alternatives Unlocked was created to bridge that gap, so individuals can understand the same investments that have long been a good source of returns and diversification for institutional investors," Mogelof stated.

Key Features of the Platform:

  • Multimedia content featuring insights from experts across private market asset classes, with live presentations and events by investment professionals and product specialists.

  • A wide range of topics catering to all audience levels, from basic concepts to complex portfolio construction.

  • A digital, interactive experience with foundational materials presented in a simple format supported by easy-to-understand infographics.

  • A webcast platform offering continuing education credits exclusively for advisors.
