B2Gold Reports Positive Exploration Results at Antelope Deposit in Namibia

B2Gold Corp is thrilled to share encouraging exploration findings from the Antelope deposit at the Otjikoto Mine in Namibia. The deposit, encompassing the Springbok Zone, Oryx Zone, and a potential third structure, Impala, is situated approximately three kilometers south of the Otjikoto Phase 5 open pit. B2Gold envisions the Antelope deposit as a potential underground mining operation, complementing the anticipated processing of stockpiles at the Otjikoto mill from 2026 to 2031.

  • 20,715 meters drilled in 37 holes at Antelope in 2023; plan to nearly double the meters in 2024.

  • Antelope deposit discovered in 2022; exploration budget for Otjikoto in 2024 is US$9 million.

  • High-grade gold mineralization found 3 km south of Otjikoto Phase 5 open pit.

  • Drill results suggest potential for underground development; contribution to gold production expected from 2026.

  • Open pit operations at Otjikoto projected to conclude in 2025; underground mining at Wolfshag to continue through 2026.

Antelope Deposit Exploration:

  • Notable intercepts include 12.88 g/t gold over 7.60 m at Springbok Zone and 9.86 g/t gold over 7.48 m at Oryx Zone.

  • Potential underground mining methods similar to Wolfshag mine considered.

  • Antelope deposit could supplement gold production from 2026 to 2031.

2024 Exploration Program:

  • US$9 million budget for 39,000 meters of drilling to define and expand Antelope deposit.

  • Initial Mineral Resource estimate expected by Q3 2024; scoping study for underground mining by Q1 2025.
